Zoe, her name being an Imperialised version of her Zhodani name Zhoe Iatoe, was the first passenger to join the Baltic Star after it changed role from science survey vessel to private liner.

She is extremely protective of the crew, now they've welcomed her to be a part of them, and she has a handful of useful skills, mostly in the field of violence.

Of course simply being a Zhodani has been useful on occasion as well, since the crew has encountered one or two of them along the way.

In her life before joining the crew she was REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED and she REDACTED REDACTED while her REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED as you can probably imagine!

Soraya is a sports enthusiast with training as a scout and definitely down for some underhanded conduct when the situation calls for it.

She has a genuine enthusiasm for life, but suffers a little bit from social awkwardness and it can make it harder for her to make friends anywhere there's no alcohol and no sporting event to discuss.

Kara is the most artistic of the Travellers, and the most outgoing.

Skilled in social situations, and very useful with her computer, certainly not opposed to a bit of hacking or research.

She is generally found towards the back of the party when danger threatens, as her combat skills are a bit, er, absent.
